Dr. Ron Asks some important questions of interest to Vancouver residents - Chiropractor Vancouver Dr. Ron Asks...

Can babies with colic be helped with chiropractic?
It's probably one of the times a parent feels the most helpless. But based on the research, chiropractic and colic relief appear to go hand in glove. With success rates in the mid-90% range, more and more Vancouver parents are seeing a chiropractor. If you have a baby with colic learn how chiropractic may help.
How could chiropractic help a stomach problem?
Chiropractic works by locating and reducing areas of the spine compromising nerve communications between your brain and your body. If nerves to or from your stomach are irritated, your stomach won't work right. Chiropractors find the source of the interference, reduce it and allow your body to work as designed.

Introducing Vancouver Chiropractor Dr. Ron Aitchison

The Chiropractor To See In Vancouver

I would have been a dentist until....

Dr. Ron was a senior in high school when it happened. He was active in athletics and had his share of back pain. Then he was involved in a rear impact auto collision that decided his career path in chiropractic medicine.

"I was quite sore after the crash, and couldn't seem to get over the injuries" Dr. Ron recalls. "If it hadn't been for that crash, I would have been a dentist, as many in my family are!"

A good friend of Dr. Ron's suggested that he go and see his brother-in-law, a chiropractor. Dr. Holman not only helped Dr. Ron get over his injuries from the crash, he also completely relieved Dr. Ron of pain from his right knee that he had for a couple of years after spraining it while skiing.

That was the definitive moment for Dr. Ron! He always knew he wanted to be in the health care field given most of his family was, but didn’t know which field he would choose. He did give dentistry serious consideration. However after communication with numerous people about their dentistry experiences, Dr. Ron said he never found anyone who enjoyed going to see their dentist. They always left with numbness in their face that led to pain when the anesthetic wore off. Alternatively, most people enjoyed their chiropractic experiences, spoke highly of their chiropractor, and truly believed they were healthier because of their chiropractic treatment.

Dr. Ron obtained a bachelors of science degree in biochemistry from California State University, in San Bernardino. He then chose Western States Chiropractic College (WSCC) in Portland, Oregon to complete his chiropractic studies. WSCC‘s reputation for focusing on science and adjusting technique was the caveat in Dr. Ron’s decision in attending. Dr. Ron believes WSCC was and is the top chiropractic school in the country. After graduating in 2001, Dr. Ron became an instructor in the clinical program at WSCC. Currently he supervises senior interns providing chiropractic care on-site at three Portland area drug & alcohol rehabilitation facilities. In this capacity Dr. Ron continuously provides encouragement and motivation to students in their quest to become the “best” doctors they can be. "It is truly rewarding to provide chiropractic care to this patient population as opposed to their alternative - substance abuse to deal with physical pain. “I hope to continually make a positive impact on the students I work with" remarks Dr. Ron. He is known for his caring and compassion delivery with patients, and his enjoyment of a chosen profession that served him well.

For the benefit of his patients and to provide up-to-date information and quality care, Dr. Ron regularly attends continuing education courses. He has achieved an Advanced Certification of Competency from the Spine Research Institute of San Diego in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of motor vehicular cervical acceleration/deceleration (whiplash) trauma, and brain injury traumatology. He has also participated in full-scale, human subject crash test research. This was a hands-on workshop leading to certification in Motor Vehicle Crash Forensic Risk Analysis from the Center for Research into Automotive Safety and Health (CRASH).

By operating his own clinic, Dr. Ron enjoys the freedom of providing each individual the highest quality chiropractic care available in a respectful manner, with honesty, and due diligence. Dr. Ron takes the time necessary with all of his patients to ensure their health issues are fully addressed.

Family is important to Dr. Ron, and while helping care for yours, he also cares for his own. He and his wonderful wife Kristina are the proud parents of two children, a son - Andrew, and a baby girl - Evangeline. They are active in their local church, and community.
